Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) is one of the most cost-effective and fuel-efficient technologies for meeting Euro 4/5/6 diesel emission standards. For heavy and medium duty trucks, SCR technology reduces emissions to near-zero levels & achieves 3-5% diesel fuel savings.
SCR technology requires treating the exhaust stream with SCR solution – an aqueous urea solution (also known as Adblue, AUS32 or DEF).
SCR solution along with the exhaust heat and a catalyst, converts NOx into nitrogen (N2) and water vapor (H2O), which are clean, harmless and present in the air.
